About Pressure Washing at ForgeGate
Pressure washing performance is a PSI × GPM story. Marketing “max PSI” figures mean little without flow rate and a nozzle set that matches the work. ForgeGate lists both pressure class and GPM-style flow figures where available, plus shaft size on replacement pumps.
Electric units suit homeowners and indoor-adjacent cleaning where gas exhaust is unwelcome. Keep cords and GFCI discipline in mind on wet ground. Replacement triplex pumps are for carts and skids already built—confirm shaft diameter and bolt pattern before you order.
Pressure Washing FAQ
Is higher PSI always better?
Not by itself. Flow (GPM) moves debris; excessive PSI without technique can etch wood and damage siding. Match the tool to surface and detergent strategy.
What shaft size pump do I need?
Read your engine or motor coupling spec. Common horizontal consumer/prosumer pumps use 3/4" or 1" shafts—ordering the wrong shaft wastes a week.
